Two years ago whilst walking in Devon, I came across an abandoned greenhouse. Half glazed and overgrown, its skeletal form stretched out across the field. Shoulder high walls flanked the sunken floor, the glass roof at ground level. An uncultivated organic chaos reclaimed the passage through the structure. On returning to this site some months later, I discovered in its place the foundations of a new housing development.
