CREATE is the annual summer festival that celebrates Europe’s largest cultural quarter – the east of London. It offers a packed programme of activities across music, design, art, food and film. CREATE is a cultural partnership between the host boroughs of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games: Barking & Dagenham, Greenwich, Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest.
Chisenhale Gallery participated in CREATE 2011 with projects by Amalia Pica and Elizabeth Price, as well as collaborating with galleries and museums across east London to present the East London Art Weekend.
