Chisenhale Gallery’s Youth Forum meet once a month to take part in varied creative activities and events. Providing creative education outside of the classroom environment,
Propeller is for young people aged 15-20 who have an interest in art and want to have an engagement in an arts institution, to collaborate with artists and make new friends.
Propeller formed in July 2011, and from December 2011-August 2012 worked with artist Benedict Drew towards producing a collaborative artwork which was presented as an
exhibition in the gallery. Chisenhale Gallery also partnered with
Ikon Gallery, Birmingham to realise
Slow Boat Summer 2012, which involved
Propeller working with Ikon Youth Programme to travel up and down to Birmingham by narrow boat in Summer 2012.
